The Rim of the World Adventure Rally

The Adventure Rally is just one component of the exciting Subaru Games events scheduled at the Subaru Rim of the World Rally. The Adventure Rally is a two hour time-speed-distance rally running at legal speed limits through the mountains and valleys in the Lancaster Palmdale area. This is the perfect activity for your entire family, friends, or car club. The event is expertly designed by members of the Santa Monica Sports Car Club for rally "newcomers". There will even be a short "rally school" orientation to teach you everything you need to know to enjoy the event. No special equipment is required and all you need to do is follow the simple course instructions.

Entry Information
The event is FREE for everyone driving a Subaru. There is a $10 per car entry fee for non-Subaru vehicles. The maximum number of entries is 50 cars. Entry will be on a first come-first-entered basis. There are no reserved entries. Each entry will receive two 20" wide X 6" tall event decals that should be placed on each vehicles front doors to identify teams for the checkpoint crews.

Registration
Registration will be at the Rally Information Table inside the entrance to the Poppy Pavilion near the entrance to the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds; registration will be open Saturday, April 28th from 9 AM to 6PM and Sunday Morning, April 29th from 9-10 AM. The general admission fee of $5 per person to enter the Fairground applies. Everyone riding in the vehicle during the event must sign the NASA insurance waiver before the start of the event.

Orientation "Rally School"
An orientation meeting will be held near the Subaru display in the Poppy Pavilion, beginning at 10:00AM, Sunday, April 29. You'll learn everything you need to know about how to compete in the rally!

Start of the Rally
The rally will start from along the east side of 25th Ave. This is near the traffic light across the street from the entrance to the Fairgrounds parking lot. The Start of the rally will be at approximately 10:30AM Sunday, April 29. Each competitor will be directed to start at their assigned start time.

End of the Rally
At the end of the event, your route instructions will guide you back to the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds where all the Adventure Rally teams will be directed to the free VIP parking area inside the Fairgrounds. The rally should end around Noon and competitors will have the rest of the day to enjoy two runnings of the Subaru Rim of the World Super Special Stage in the grandstands and all the other Subaru Games activities. There's also lots of great food from the Boy Scouts and Habitat for Humanity BBQ areas!

Rally Awards
There will be a short Awards Ceremony for the Adventure Rally. The ceremony will take place at approximately 2:00PM. Awards will be given to the top 5 teams and printed results for all teams will be available.
