The Super Special Stage

The term "super special stage" comes from the roots of the sport in Europe where the competitive or racing sections of the rally are called "special stages". Courses specifically constructed for spectator viewing have came to be called "super" special stages.

All the action at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds centers around the Rim of the World's Super Special Stage carved out of the flat desert ground in front of the fairground's 7,500 stadium style grandstands. Rally teams will race side-by-side over the Super Special Stage three times during the rally providing rally fans an excellent opportunity to see the action up close.

The Super Special Stage will include a water splash, plenty of high speed turns, and jumps to accurately recreate all the action that takes place on the forest roads that wind through the Angeles National Forest. Don't forget, this is a real competitive stage of the rally. The teams are racing against the clock and any mistakes here can cost them a chance at victory!

At the end of the event catch all the excitement of the Subaru Champagne Finish Ceremony in the winners circle located in Lilac Pavilion.
